Description

The Disparity Trap Board Game provides an easy way to have the hard conversations around race, wealth and privilege in the United States, and how those constructs impact society. The game play is like many of its kind, where your individual goal is to accrue as much wealth as possible. But where it differs is that you can have a team goal as well where you work with your fellow players to dismantle the Disparity Traps seeking to keep everyone in poverty. Within this game you also step into someone else's shoes; to experience the disparities within an identity different from your own. Throughout the game, the dice roll correlates your identity in the game to real life statistics. So like life, the dice are in your "hands," but the odds are not.
